Bringing hope, healing and salvation to souls in need!
The school year in Guatemala begins the end of January. One of the most important things we do is to help children go to school who would not have been able to go without our help. We have done this by buying their long list of school supplies, paying registration fees, buying shoes and/or clothes where necessary, and other expenses for several. We spent an average of about $50 per child. Like the families and children in this picture from this past year, they are always more excited about going back to school than they are about Christmas!
If you can help us with this great need and invest in giving a child the hope of a better life in this world and an opportunity for us to continue pointing them to Christ for eternity, it would be such a blessing. I will send you a form with a photo of the child and their family information for each $50 you can help us with. I am praying God will allow us to help at least 125 children go to school (It could easily be 12,500 if we had the funds!). I am anticipating a total of at least $6,000 above our monthly budget just to get started! It usually is more than I allow for. As God said about each little one of them, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jer. 29:11).
As I said previously, it will take approximately $50/child to buy the list of required supplies, clothes or uniforms for some, and shoes for all of the children we give an opportunity for a better life in out school program. By God's grace and love, we can improve the quality of life for these chioldren in a tremendous way!! We now have a way you can contribute to these needs RIGHT NOW with a few clicks of a mouse. Perhaps you can help at least one child, or maybe God has blessed you to help 2 or more children.
Danny, because my family and I am so very blessed and God has touched my heart to pray for these children and to be the answer to my own prayer by investing financially in their little lives. THE BOTTOM LINE of all of these needs is, Jesus said, "You've done it unto THEM, you've done it unto ME! You have NOT done it unto THEM, you have NOT done it unto ME!" I always wish that someone else had the job of going down each January and have to tell so many children who were hoping to make the list that we do not have the resources to help them. Just think if you had to tell your child or grandchild , "I'm sorry. We cannot afford for you to go to school this year."" Let's get behind this as if they were our children, what do you say?
